This Spring the Phillips County Health Systems (PCHS) developed a new structure to strategically strengthen the financial management team. As part of our commitment to providing exceptional patient care, we are pleased to announce the employment of Patrick Patterson as the new Financial Controller. In this key leadership role, Patrick plays a leading role in strengthening financial management and ensuring the hospital’s fiscal health.
Phillips County native Patrick Patterson accepted the position and brings extensive experience in financial management.
Throughout his career, he has demonstrated a solid commitment to financial excellence and a proven history of optimizing financial operations in prior organizations. Patrick holds a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from Fort Hays State University. With extensive experience in budgeting, financial accounts, and operations, he has been able to make sound strategic decisions, efficiently use resources, and streamline financial processes, all while accurately managing financial data and analytics.
“I’m blessed and excited to have the opportunity to join the PCHS team, as I wanted to contribute a greater purpose to the community where I live,” stated Patrick Patterson. “As the Financial Controller, I will be responsible for leading the day-to-day accounting operations, preparing and publishing financial reports, and working with leadership to develop strategies to improve efficiencies. My goal is to provide consistency and stability to the financial operations and performance of PCHS so that we can continue to grow and provide services that meet the community’s growing needs.”
"We are thrilled to have Patrick join our team as the Financial Controller for PCHS, shared Tara Overmiller, COO and Interim CEO. “As a local candidate familiar with the community, he brings invaluable insight and expertise into the role. Since his arrival, we have seen a noticeable improvement in processes and reporting as Patrick works diligently to ensure transparency and trust in the financials. In light of the recent turnover in the financial department, our goal is that Patrick will provide essential stability and continuity while restoring confidence in the financial picture. We are grateful for his commitment to excellence and integrity and I look forward to continuing to work with him to serve our community with the best quality care."
Patrick’s commitment to the community is evident as a volunteer for the local little league softball program and he actively serves as a board member for the Phillips County Wellness Center. Residing in Phillipsburg, he finds enjoyment in the company of his wife, Amber, and their three children, Lydia, Haylee, and Jack.
PCHS is dedicated to providing compassionate and innovative medical care. Our team of highly skilled healthcare professionals is committed to delivering exceptional patient experiences and advancing the health and well-being of the community we serve.
