Phillips County Health Systems is excited to announce that it has added Vapotherm to their Respiratory Therapy capabilities.
Vapotherm provides precision flow, HI-VNI oxygen support to patients, made especially important with the COVID-19 pan
demic.
Vapotherm uses a nasal cannula, instead of a face mask, to deliver warm, humidified gas at high velocity to the patient. Traditional ventilation that requires a mask increases the risk of aspiration and inhibits the ability to talk, take medications, or eat. Further complications may result in invasive intubation, longer hospital stays, and greater incidence of admission to more intensive care centers.
With the addition of the portable Vapotherm equipment, Phillips County Health Systems' two Respiratory Therapists will be able to deliver respiratory care more efficiently and comfortably to those requiring breathing support and relief.
