Phillips County Health Systems is pleased to announce that Doak Doolittle, M.D., FACS will be joining our medical provider team beginning October 1, 2019. Dr. Doolittle will be providing general medicine care at the Phillips County Medical Clinic, Emergency Department coverage and patient care at the Phillips County Hospital, and begin general surgical procedures later in 2020.

He provides a great blend of top-notch clinical care, surgical capabilities, ER trauma experience, and a strong passion for providing patient-centered, community-based care.”
Dr. Doolittle completed medical school at the University of Iowa College of Medicine. Following his surgical internship and residency at the Iowa Methodist Medical Center and Broadlawns Polk County Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa, he completed his cardio thoracic surgery residency at the Medical College of Wisconsin. He also holds a Bachelor of Science degree and graduated with distinction from Iowa State University.
Since leaving the Holdrege, NE area to care for family, Dr. Doolittle has practiced surgery and had a general medical clinic practice in Cameron, MO and Gordon, NE.

Dr. Doolittle has three grown children, Derrick Doolittle, M.D., Drake Doolittle, who has a Masters of History from George Mason University, and Britain Doolittle, DDS. He enjoys time with his two grandchildren and is an avid Royals and Chiefs fan.
